Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, I was Director of Women's Personal Growth & Therapy, PC in Okemos, Michigan. This is a multi-disciplinary practice group in which I supervised others, as well as provided independent clinical services. I maintained this practice for eighteen years and am still involved in overseeing operations.

My educational background is varied. I began my educational life at Lansing Community College by earning an Associate Degree in Health Careers. This qualified me to become a Registered Nurse. I practiced this profession for twenty years. This experience adds an extra ability to help those with anxiety or depression related to medical problems. In pursuit of my current professional career I obtained my Master of Social Work degree through Michigan State University. Following this I obtained a Ph.D. from Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 2006 I was honored by Lansing Community College as the distinguished alumnus. I have served on the Board of Eve's Inc. (End Violent Encounters) and was President in 2005. I have taught Psychology, Sociology, and Stress Management at Davenport University in Lansing, Michigan.
